Calling all Endeavour Card Holders! Keep Your U20 Discount by Switching to the Ipswich Buses ID Card…

The Suffolk County Council Endeavour Card scheme is coming to an end. From 31 October 2025, the Endeavour Card will no longer be accepted as a valid travel discount. This means young people aged 16 to 19 who currently use the Endeavour Card will need another way to continue receiving reduced fares.

To make sure young passengers don’t lose out, Ipswich Buses encourages everyone aged under 20 to apply for an Ipswich Buses ID Card — the simple, low-cost way to keep enjoying U20 discounted fares.

What’s Changing

• The Endeavour Card, run by Suffolk County Council, will be withdrawn on 31 October 2025.
• New applications and top-ups for Endeavour Cards will stop from 31 July 2025.
• Once the scheme ends, Endeavour Cards will no longer provide discounted travel on any bus services.

Continue Saving with the Ipswich Buses ID Card

The Ipswich Buses ID Card ensures young passengers can still access U20 discounted fares after the county council scheme ends.

  • Fill in a short form.
  • Bring a passport-sized photo and proof of date of birth (e.g. passport, driving licence, or birth certificate).
• Instant issue: Cards are made and handed out immediately.
• Long-lasting: Valid right up to the holder’s 20th birthday — no renewal needed.

Important to Remember

If a passenger aged 16–19 cannot show either an Ipswich Buses ID Card or a valid Endeavour Card (until it expires), they will be charged the full adult fare. To keep fares discounted beyond October 2025, passengers must switch to an Ipswich Buses ID Card.
