MORE BUSES FOR IPSWICH – Enhanced & Improved Service from 31st August

We’re thrilled to announce one of the most significant overhauls of Ipswich’s bus network in the last two decades. From Sunday 31st August, we’re boosting services, improving frequencies, improving punctuality, and adding capacity across the town and surrounding areas — making it easier than ever to get where you need to go.

These enhancements are made possible thanks to funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and local development contributions, allowing us to deliver more buses for Ipswich, more often, with better connections.

Why We’re Making These Changes

This is about making buses better and providing stronger options for those who wish to travel faster, more frequently, and more reliably. By ensuring buses arrive more frequently, targeting key pinch points, adding extra buses where they’re most needed, and introducing new weekend services, we’re making Ipswich’s network fit for the future.

Network Services Changes

We will also make some minor adjustments to certain of our Network Services. Details of these can be found below:

Route 92 – Ipswich Central – Manningtree

  • New Journey From Brantham to Manningtree: To provide an earlier connection from Brantham to Manningtree Railway Station
  • Minor Route Change: With buses operating along Wherstead Road, no longer serving stops on Sinclair Drive

Route 94 – Bentley/Tattingstone – Ipswich Central
