Discounted Bus Travel for NHS Staff

In partnership with the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Ipswich Buses are delighted to be able to offer ESNEFT employees discounted bus travel.

A 50% discount is now available on our 7-day, 28-day, 6-month, 12-month and 10 journey tickets from 1st April 2022.

If you would like to purchase a discounted bus ticket then please speak to the travel team at Ipswich or Colchester Hospital.

The travel team will then provide you with a code which you can then use on the Ipswich Buses APP.

The Ipswich Buses APP is free to download from the APP store or Google play and once you have downloaded the APP simply choose the ticket you wish to purchase, enter the code in the checkout and then pay the 50% discounted price.

Your ticket will then be stored on your phone and ready to use whenever you need it.

By downloading the Ipswich Buses APP you will also be able to benefit from its other useful features including:

• Plan your journey & view timetables
• Track your bus in real time – no need to wait in the cold if your bus is delayed!
• See how busy your bus is, allowing you to avoid the busier buses

If you don't have a smartphone or do not wish to use the APP then you can still purchase a discounted ticket by taking your ID & last wage slip or authority slip to the travel team or

the Ipswich Buses travel shop in Tower Ramparts Bus Station, Ipswich and your chosen ticket will be loaded onto a smartcard and you will still be charged 50% of the full ticket value.
